The 1440-VSE02-01RA, by Allen-Bradley, is a smart, two-channel vibration monitor designed specifically for machines with rolling element bearings. Utilizing Entek's g's Spike Energy signal processing, it precisely measures the energy from mechanical or transient impacts. This gSE measurement technique helps in early detection of surface defects in metal-to-metal contacts, rolling-element bearings, and issues such as insufficient bearing lubrication, dry-running, flow changes, internal recirculation, and cavitation.
This module features an on-board relay expandable to five, 14 to 20 mA outputs, an integral tachometer, and buffer outputs for all channels. It can collect data in steady-state as well as startup/coast-down conditions, manage up to 16 alarms, and record spectra and trend or waveform data, making it a comprehensive monitoring solution. It also tracks transducer speed and bias while alternating between traditional vibration measurements and gSE overall and gSE spectrum measurements. The update frequency for measurements depends on the system's configuration.
The 1440-VSE02-01RA supports both power input and signals from Integrated Electronic Piezo Electric (IEPE) accelerometers and standard eddy current probe systems. It also accepts signals from most standard voltage output measurement devices, such as pressure or velocity transducers.
