The Allen-Bradley 1326AS-B420G-21 drive is designed with neodymium-iron-boron permanent magnet rotors, offering low inertia, superior acceleration, and high peak torque. It is compact, durable, and ideally suited for harsh industrial environments. The drive includes brushless servo motors, intended for use with the 1394 motor control modules. Its neodymium-iron-boron magnet motors enable better torque-to-inertia ratios, facilitating faster acceleration for lightweight machinery. It also features a three-phase sinusoidally wound stator field, ensuring smooth operation at low speeds.

The 1326AS-B420G-21 is encased in extruded aluminum to effectively manage heat transfer. A normally closed thermal switch within the motor provides thermal overload indication, preventing problems from overheating. Its rugged, two-pole brushless resolver offers precise position feedback, negating the need for onboard electronics, and can handle high temperatures, strong shocks, and intense vibrations. The resolver feedback delivers 1024 A Quad B encoder output.

The drive can be mounted in any preferred orientation, either shaft up or down, and comes with a Junction Box Kit that allows motor connectors to be mounted axially without extra wiring. Shaft oil seal kits are available for installing a nitrile shaft without disassembling the motor. Once the shaft seal is installed, the motor becomes dust-tight, resistant to pulsating water jets, and meets IP65 requirements under the IEC 529 standard.
