The Allen-Bradley SP-173172 power board is specifically designed for upgrading 1395 DC drives and can accommodate series B drives powered by either 230V AC at 1 to 30 horsepower or 460V AC at 2 to 60 horsepower. It is located within the heatsink assembly as an accessible swing-down panel, ideal for use in 3.6 to 110 Amps-rated Regen DC drives. This power board features metal-oxide varistors for surge suppression and safeguards the armature power bridge from line surges and voltage spikes, while ensuring isolation and firing pulses through its pulse transformers and RC networks. For effective integration, it connects with the main control board via the PSI switcher board, finalizing its comprehensive role in managing the drive input.
