The Allen-Bradley 2080-TC2 is a 2-channel, non-isolated thermocouple plug-in module designed for the Micro800 Specialty Plug-in Modules, supporting precise temperature control via Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) when integrated with Micro830 and Micro850 controllers. This module features a 14-bit resolution and is compatible with multiple thermocouple types, including ANSI and IEC codes B, E, J, K, N, R, S, and T, making it versatile for various industrial applications. It boasts a common mode rejection ratio of 100 dB and a normal mode rejection ratio of 70 dB, with a power consumption of 3.3 Volts at 40 mA. The unit is equipped with a passive CJC thermistor and requires shielded, twisted core cabling, ensuring optimal performance and noise immunity in complex environments.
