The Allen-Bradley 22A-A8P0H204 drive is part of the PowerFlex 4 series. It is an IP20-rated drive designed to control the motor speed of automated machinery. This drive operates on AC voltage ranging from 200 to 240 Volts AC and uses 1.5 kilowatts of power to generate 8 Amps and 2 Horsepower. It functions with a frequency between 50 and 60 Hertz on a single-phase AC waveform. The model has a "B" frame size and does not include an EMC compatible filter. The dimensions of the drive are 12.5 cm in height, 20.4 cm in width, and 9.75 cm in depth.

The 22A-A8P0H204 drives can be installed on a DIN rail or panel, and the ambient temperature around the units should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius. The drive features an integral keypad with control keys and a local potentiometer for external operation. The keypad can be used remotely or handheld, both featuring a copycat function. The drive includes ten basic application parameters organized in a basic program group. Using the control keys, operators can program the drive via the RS-485 communication port, facilitating a multi-drop network configuration. A DF1 port allows a PC to connect to any controller through a serial converter module, and the display shows four digits.

Additional features include a relay pre-charge to minimize current buildup and a brake resistor to manage current surges. Users can configure the drive for 24 Volts DC control wiring using a DIP switch. Lastly, the drive supports an adjustable PWM frequency of up to 16 kHz for quieter operation.
