The Allen-Bradley 150-C85NCD SMC-3 is a compact, straightforward solid-state controller designed for operating 3-phase motors. It offers four operational modes: Soft Start, Soft Stop, Kickstart, and Current Limit Start. The control circuit operates with a voltage range of 100-240V AC and provides voltage insulation up to 250V. The off-state current is below 10mA and 12mA at off-state voltage.
Its auxiliary contactor has an operational voltage rated at 250V AC, insulation voltage also at 250V, and can withstand dielectric voltages up to 1500V AC. For the power circuit, it operates between 200 and 600V AC, has an insulation voltage of 600V, and can handle dielectric withstand up to 2200V AC at frequencies of 50-60Hz. Additionally, it supports an impulse voltage of 6KV and offers protection of 1000V/µs dV/dt.
The controller has an operational current of 85A, with the overload current adjustable between 28.3-85A. It dissipates a maximum of 82W of heat. The control voltage is maintained at 100-240V AC, and it uses cables sized 2.5 by 95 mm² with a tightening torque of 11.3 x 12.4 N·m for its line power terminals. For circuit protection, it employs a 300A UL Class K5 and RK5 fuse, as well as a UL Listed Thermal-Magnetic Circuit Breaker.
It features an open-style rated enclosure, suitable for operating temperatures ranging from 0 to 50°C (32 to 122°F) and relative humidity from 5-95% non-condensing. It can function at altitudes up to 2000 meters (6560 feet) without performance loss and withstands operational shocks up to 15G. The device weighs 5.0 pounds and has shipping dimensions of 36in x 51in x 14in.
